Year 1 Farm Visit

Year One had a lovely trip to Roves Farm on Tuesday 14^th October.  We were met by Farmer Ricky who first of all took us on a tractor ride around the farm where we learned lots of facts about the animals and plants at Roves Farm.  We stopped off in the woods to build houses for the mice.  On the way back we all fed the pigs.  After lunch, we played parachute games and enjoyed a story before visiting the smaller animals.  We fed goats and met the ferrets, and we also visited the piglets, some were only a few days old! We all got to hold a piglet as well!  We have learned lots about farms to support our geography learning.
