World Thinking Day

February 24th 2026

Today, our school was brightened by a wonderful splash of colour and pride as many of our children arrived wearing their Scouts, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs and Rainbows uniforms in celebration of World Thinking Day. It was a joy to see so many young people representing the groups they belong to with such enthusiasm.

World Thinking Day is an important moment in the global calendar for both the Scouting and Girlguiding movements. It’s a day that encourages children and young people to reflect on the shared values of friendship, community, and making a positive difference in the world. These organisations nurture confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership and a strong sense of responsibility — qualities that we value deeply as a school.

We are incredibly proud of our pupils who take part in these groups. Their commitment to learning new skills, supporting others and challenging themselves shines through in everything they do. Celebrating this day together reminds us of the power of community and the importance of helping children grow into thoughtful, capable and compassionate individuals.

Thank you to all the families who supported the day, and well done to every child who wore their uniform with pride. It was a wonderful way to recognise the impact of Scouting and Girlguiding, both within our school and around the world.
