World Book Day

World Book Day 2026 was a truly inspiring celebration of words, imagination, and creativity.

This year, the children arrived dressed not as characters, but as words—each costume representing a personality trait, a favourite character, or a powerful descriptive idea. Their originality and enthusiasm absolutely blew us away. Throughout the day, pupils enjoyed being listened to read by the headteacher, received their very own World Book Day book, and took part in a range of exciting author events across the week. It was a wonderful celebration of reading that brought our whole school community together.
